Tutorial Video Posted

Hello folks! I just posted a tutorial video over to youtube. The video, is a brief tutorial showing you how to add video and other files to your wordpress.com hosted blog. It’s about 4 minutes long and has some decent, if not somewhat basic content on it. I used Camtasia Studio to create the video, and I have to say, the new version is a lot better than the last one that I had.

The last version of Camtasia that I owned, was version 3, the current version 5 is leaps and bounds better. I love the zoom and pan feature, I just need to get better at using it properly.

In terms of quality of the output, Camtasia 5 is way, way better than Camstudio.

However, I feel that Camstudio can get the job done in a pinch. The best thing that Camstudio has going for it, is the price ($0). Camtasia cannot match Camstudio’s price.

I know it’s a cliche, but I have to say it, you get what you pay for. If you don’t mind having a lower quality video presentation, albeit one that works and can be burned to CD or saved in a format that can be deployed online, Camstudio will get the job done. However if, and I do mean IF, you want to have a high quality product, that you can edit and render multiple times over, then Camtasia 5 is the way to go. No ifs ands or buts about it.
